How to use your Korail Pass

Choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 travel days within a 10-day period. Your travel days do not have to be consecutive.

Reserve through KORAIL’s MY TICKET service. Reservations normally open one month ahead, with up to two seat reservations per person per day. A pass does not guarantee a seat; check availability before buying.

Book your Korail Pass with the details shown in your passport. Follow your confirmation instructions to find the pass on KORAIL, register your travel days and reserve seats. Carry your passport, valid pass and seat reservation when travelling.

  1. Find your pass on KORAIL

    Open the KORAIL website and choose MY TICKET. Use the pass details from your booking confirmation to retrieve your pass.

  2. Register your travel days

    In DETAILS, select the dates when you want to travel. Choose them within the pass’s 10-day validity period, then save your selection.

  3. Choose a train and reserve a seat

    Open SEAT RESERVATION. Enter your departure and arrival stations, travel date and preferred time. Select an available train and check the class before confirming. Standard-class seats are included; first class costs extra.

  4. Check your reservation before travelling

    Check the date, departure station, train number, carriage and seat. Follow KORAIL’s instructions for displaying or printing the valid ticket. A screenshot alone is not a valid ticket.

For a lost pass, incorrect details, a journey crossing midnight or a date change, check your booking with the seller and KORAIL before travel. Do not buy a duplicate pass without checking your existing booking.

First class with the Korail Pass

The Korail Pass includes standard-class travel. For a first-class seat, you pay 50% of the full first-class fare for that route, not 50% of the difference between classes. This supplement applies to each first-class reservation; there is no separate first-class Korail Pass.
