Step-by-Step guide to reserving your seat

1. Purchase your Korail pass
Before making any reservations, you need to purchase a Korail Pass. This pass is exclusive to foreign tourists and can be bought online via Korail-pass.com or through authorized travel agencies.

2. Access the Korail website or app
Once you have your Korail Pass, visit the official Korail website or download the Korail app which is available on iOS and Android.
- Website: Navigate to the “MY TICKET” section.
- App: Open the Korail app and log in to access your pass details.
3. Log in with your Korail pass number
Enter the Korail Pass number (or the email used during purchase), then click “NEXT”.
- If you have a Flexible (Select) Pass, you must register your travel dates before making seat reservations.

Flexible Pass holders must activate their pass for specific travel dates:
- Click “DETAILS” next to your pass information.
- Select “Add” and choose the date you plan to travel.
- Confirm your selection before proceeding.
4. Make a seat reservation
Once your travel date is set, return to the “Reservation Information” section and click “Seat Reservation”.
- Enter departure and arrival stations, travel date, and time.

5. Select your train and seat
From the list of available trains:
- Choose the train that fits your schedule.
- Economy Class seats are included in the Korail Pass. See which Korail trains take part in the Korail pass deal.
- First Class seats require an additional fee.
- Select your preferred seat and click “Next.”
6. Confirm and save your reservation
- Review your reservation details for accuracy.
- Click “Confirm” and save your reservation.
7. Use your mobile ticket or print it
You can present your digital ticket or print it out:
- Korail Website: Print a copy of your reservation.
- Korail App: Your e-ticket is stored under “My Tickets.” Simply show this when boarding.
