First class with the Korail Pass
The Korail Pass includes standard-class travel. For a first-class seat, you pay 50% of the full first-class fare for that route, not 50% of the difference between classes. This supplement applies to each first-class reservation; there is no separate first-class Korail Pass.
Seat reservations with the Korail PassWill the pass actually save you money?
An adult 2-day pass costs KRW 131,000. Your covered tickets across those two days must cost more than that for the pass to save money. For example, a hypothetical ticket total of KRW 120,000 would be KRW 11,000 cheaper than the pass. Check the live fares for both directions of Seoul–Busan; a return journey alone is not proof that a pass is worthwhile.
Count travel dates, not nights away. Travelling on 2 and 9 November uses two days within the 2–11 November validity window. A train on 12 November falls outside it. A same-day return uses one travel day and normally both of that day’s seat reservations.
What happened to the Saver and youth passes?
Older guides mention Saver, youth and consecutive passes. KORAIL’s current direct-sale table lists 2, 3, 4 and 5 selected days, with adult and child prices. It does not list a separate Saver or youth fare. Compare the actual product offered by your seller; travelling as a group does not automatically earn the old discount.

Reserve through KORAIL’s MY TICKET service. Reservations normally open one month ahead, with up to two seat reservations per person per day. A pass does not guarantee a seat; check availability before buying.

Can I change the type of pass or personal information after purchase?
Pass type, passenger type and personal details cannot be changed after purchase. To replace a pass, request a refund from the seller under the applicable cancellation terms, then buy a new pass.
